If it was one thing that Reb could do without equal, it was picking out fine restaurants. Today was no exception. She had a budget of $35,000 and lobster sounded good. It sounded even better with champagne and fois gras and truffles and some kind of cream sauce and chocolate ice cream with coffee beans mixed in. An entire weeks' worth of calories all in one meal. The good news was that the portions were modest. The bad news was that Mitch was almost seeing double from the sugar buzz. So, okay, the check didn't exactly add up to $35,000. But they made a dent in it.

“You look like you're all done in for the evening,” Reb observed.

“You are correct, as usual,” Mitch managed a smile. She was tired. She didn't know whether it was physical or mental fatigue and she really didn't care.

“Ready for bed?” Reb checked to be sure.

Mitch only smiled again. What a silly question.

They were quiet on the ride back to the hotel. Reb wanted to once again take a shower before retiring for the night, so Mitch did everything required to help out and then set about to straighten up the room. She was hanging up Reb's sweater when she felt something in the pocket. Mitch chuckled. It was probably Reb's folding money left over from roulette. Mitch pulled out the sheet of paper and began to read the words.
